I will update this post as we go along so that you have one place to go to find handouts you may want to print.  Not all handouts given out in class will be downloadable here, but I will add the ones I can.  You can return to this post by using the tag “Hound of the Baskervilles.”  Here is also a powerpoint you may want to look over about the Victorian literary period that gives background information you may find helpful  Elementary My Dear Watson!

A Brief Guide to Annotating Text What should I be annotating?  Using three colors of highlighters (your own book) or sticky notes (borrowed book), highlight in one color personal notations – things that need clarification, quotes/passages you feel are significant, particularly suspenseful moments, important quotations, whatever you feel you should make note of; in a second color highlight information related to the major conflicts in the story as they develop; and in the third color, highlight information related to characterization of the major characters.
