Word on the Street

On-Level Classes – Completed Caught’ya Sentence #25 and turned in sentences #20-25.  Discussed reading strategies to determine the meanings of unfamiliar words.  Discussed genres of literature and the elements of science fiction as an intro to the science fiction short story we began today “Flowers for Algernon.”

Homework:

• 4th period only – write a paragraph detailing the elements usually associated with the genre of science fiction.
• Final Moldy Bread Essay is due at the beginning of class on Friday

Advanced Classes – We discussed the test Friday and students worked in cohort groups on chapter questions.
